Our Commitment to Privacy

Meetentive is built on a core principle: your meeting data stays on your device. We designed our application to perform all audio processing locally using on-device AI, ensuring that your conversations remain private.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a Meetentive account, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your name (optional)
  • Authentication credentials (securely hashed, never stored in plain text)

Subscription and Payment Data

When you subscribe to Meetentive, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials. We receive only:

  • Subscription status (active, canceled, etc.)
  • Billing period dates
  • Stripe customer ID (an anonymous identifier)

Audio and Transcript Data

We do not collect, transmit, or store any audio or transcript data. All audio capture and transcription occurs entirely on your Mac using the Whisper AI model running locally. Your meeting audio never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and is not accessible to Meetentive or any third party.

Keywords and Topics

The keywords and topics you configure for detection are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to our servers.

Usage Analytics

We do not collect any usage analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking data. We do not use any third-party analytics services within the application.

2. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

  • Authenticate your account and manage your subscription
  • Process payments through Stripe
  • Send essential account-related communications (e.g., subscription confirmations, password resets)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Account and subscription data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and secure authentication. All data transmission between the app and our authentication servers uses HTTPS encryption.

Locally stored data on your device (transcripts, keywords, settings) is protected by your operating system's security measures. We recommend keeping your Mac's disk encryption (FileVault) enabled.

4. Third-Party Services

Meetentive uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — For user authentication and subscription management
  • Stripe — For payment processing

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. No audio, transcript, or meeting data is shared with any third-party service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our servers within 30 days. Locally stored data (transcripts, settings) can be deleted at any time by you.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your locally stored transcripts at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Meetentive is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Meetentive after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
