By downloading, installing, or using Meetentive ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.
Meetentive is a desktop application for macOS that provides real-time meeting transcription using on-device AI. The Application captures system audio, transcribes it locally using the Whisper speech recognition model, and provides keyword and topic detection with notifications. All audio processing occurs entirely on your device.
To use Meetentive, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Meetentive offers a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start your trial. During the trial period, you have full access to all features.
After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using Meetentive. The subscription is billed monthly at the rate displayed on our website at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fee.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Meetentive until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice to you.
You agree to use Meetentive only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You must not:
Important: Many jurisdictions require the consent of all parties before recording a conversation. It is your sole responsibility to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recording consent. Meetentive is not responsible for any illegal or unauthorized recording by users.
The Application, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by Meetentive and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Application for personal or internal business purposes.
Your transcripts and data generated by the Application belong to you. Meetentive claims no ownership over your content.
Your use of Meetentive is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your information. By using the Application, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
Meetentive is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, accents, background noise, and other factors. You should not rely solely on Meetentive transcriptions for critical decisions without independent verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetentive and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Application.
Our total liability for any claims related to the Application shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Application in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meetentive and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Application, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law including recording consent laws.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of Meetentive after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Meetentive at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the Application ends immediately. Sections regarding liability, indemnification, and intellectual property survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing other remedies.
